Nature seems to follow a recurring rule: the most extraordinary things are never centralized<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A brain is not one gigantic neuron.
A flock is not a single bird leading the others.
A swarm, an ecosystem, an ant colony: they all emerge from the cooperation<\/strong> of many simple entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Computer science, in many ways, has followed the same path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For years we built software as massive monoliths<\/strong>. Then microservices<\/strong> arrived, teaching us that distributing responsibilities often makes systems more flexible, resilient, and ultimately more intelligent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps that is why the agentic paradigm<\/strong> fascinates me so much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have always loved distributed systems<\/strong>. Back at university, I designed an architecture for highly parallel and distributed genetic algorithms (aimed at optimizing and training neural networks)<\/a>, where independent populations evolved on virtual “islands” and “archipelagos,” periodically exchanging individuals to accelerate the search for better solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even then, I was captivated by a simple idea:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many limited entities, cooperating together, can produce a form of collective intelligence that is far greater than the sum of its parts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Today, artificial intelligence<\/strong> is undergoing the same transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the era of monolithic generative models<\/strong>, we are witnessing the rise of agentic architectures<\/strong>: teams of specialized agents collaborating toward a common goal. One gathers information, another validates it, another organizes it, and another assembles the final result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not a single mind.
A small society of minds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To explore this paradigm, I built a personal experiment: a crew of cooperative agents capable of generating financial reports<\/strong> starting from nothing more than an ISIN<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project began as an exercise inspired by Ed Donner<\/strong><\/a>‘s excellent Udemy course,\u00a0AI Engineer Agentic Track: The Complete Agent & MCP Course<\/strong><\/a>, but it quickly became something more: a way to revisit, with today’s AI technologies, those same ideas of\u00a0distribution<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0cooperation<\/strong>\u00a0that have fascinated me since my university days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps it was inevitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evolution of computer science seems to follow the same direction over and over again:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

from the monolith to cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you cross the threshold into the world of agentic architectures, there is no turning back. My mind is already overflowing with ideas to explore.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
